Coral reefs make up one of the most complex marine ecosystems on earth and are essential to literally millions of plant and animal species. At Sango Batake, visitors can observe the farming of more than 50,000 coral reefs in an area of the ocean, where water temperature is four to five degrees lower than the surrounding waters.
